Archaeology Scotland Summer School [inverurie] ...

The 2019 Archaeology Scotland Summer School will be based at Thainstone House Hotel, by Inverurie.  Registration will take place in the hotel during the latter part of the afternoon on Sunday 19th May and departure will be during the morning of Wednesday 22nd May. There will be two full days of guided field visits (Monday and Tuesday); participants will be transported between sites by coach.You can attend at a resident or if you wish to sort your own accommodation you can participate as a non-resident. Guided tour of An Fasgadh, Highland Folk Museum [Newtonmore] ...

Guided tour of the collections in An Fasagh in the Highland Folk Museum, Newtonmore. ‘Am Fasgadh’ is the Museum’s collection facility incorporating collections storage and conservation; resources including collections study and research library; administration including offices and meeting spaces. Its primary function is to house the Museum’s core collections numbering approx. 12,000 items. Tours will take you around the main collection store, whilst access to other parts of the building is by appointment.
